purpose is for our Plan Attorneys to provide you with legal expertise which
would normally be unavailable to most people due to high cost and/or lack
of knowledge. We strongly adhere to the position that information is knowledge
and knowledge is power. You and your family now have access to one of the
largest network of Plan Attorneys in the United States. The
more knowledgeable you are, the more power and control you have in dealing
with legal and financial issues which could significantly affect your every
day life.
Free & Discounted Legal Services*:
- Initial legal consultations
with plan attorneys (no time limit)
- Initial face-to-face
consultation for each new legal matter (no time limit)
- When deemed appropriate
by your plan attorney, he or she will write letters on your behalf (one
letter per legal matter, with no limit on the number of new legal matters)
- When deemed appropriate
by your plan attorney, he or she will make phone calls on your behalf
(one phone call per legal matter, with no limit on the number of new legal
matters)
- Review of legal documents
(3 page maximum per document, no limit to the number of new documents)
- Free simple will
specific to your state
- Access to hundreds
of free legal forms and documents
*In many states attorney liability may require plan attorneys to obtain
a retainer from the member prior to providing some of the free member
benefits.
Guaranteed Low Hourly Rates:
Plan attorneys have contracted to charge no more than $125.00 per hour,
or 25% off their usual and customary hourly rate, whichever is greater,
for legal care that goes beyond the free and discounted services described
above.
Retainers:
In the event you decide to retain a Plan Attorney, it is customary for
retainers to be
calculated by multiplying the number of hours a plan attorney believes
a case will take, by the appropriate discounted hourly plan rate. For
instance: 5 hours x $125.00 = a retainer amount of $625.00.
Please note that each Plan attorney may construct his or her retainer that is best
for the client. While our plan guarantees discounted services, we do not engage in Attorney billing.
Contingency Fee Discounts:
Plan attorneys offer a 10% discount for contingency type cases.
In
other words, you now have access to the legal system without thinking,
"I can't afford it." Our network of law firms and plan attorneys maintain
the ability to service plan members nationwide!
